The SAT is a standard test widely used for college admissions in the United States, Canada and all around the world. It was first established in 1926, and its name and scoring have changed several times over the years and ended at SAT Reasoning Test and now simply the SAT. The SAT and SAT Subject Tests are created and designed to evaluate your academic readiness for college. These exams provide a path to opportunities, financial support, and scholarships, in a way that’s fair to all students.

The SAT and SAT Subject Tests keep up with what higher academic institutions are looking for today, assessing the skills required for success in the 21st century. SAT consists of three major sections: Critical Reading, Mathematics and Writing. Each section is scored on the scale of 200–800.

All scores are multiples of 10. Total scores are calculated by adding up scores of the three sections. As well as SAT II (Subject Tests). Moreover, currently there are around 20 Subjects for SAT II.

Subjects which are commonly taught in Jordan to be eligible to apply to international and local universities are : Mathematics Level 1, Mathematics Level 2, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Arabic Language and Islamic Education (for Muslim students).

For equivalency with the Jordanian (Tawjihi) certificate, students should achieve a passing score (450 out of 800) in seven subjects in the SAT I І, as well as passing the requirements of the (H.S.D)
